Last year’s tournament netted an unprecedented $100,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and this year all proceeds will go towards the implementation of
the Prostate Cancer Research Initiative.
This Initiative will bring Prostate Cancer research, treatment and care to the forefront at the Cross Cancer Institute and in Alberta through a $15 million project. The first $5 million has already been raised and is going to fund a research chair that will start a patient based program second to none in Canada. The next $5 million will go towards on-going research in the area of prostate. The last $5 million will go to fund a rapid access clinic that will benefit all men in Alberta fighting this disease.
